Sustainable production design
Every step of our production processes, from sourcing to packaging, prioritizes energy conservation and minimal waste.
We designed our formulas using ingredients intended to be minimally processed. This has two objectives: to maintain the integrity and potency of the ingredients, and to minimize energy consumption.
For example, the vegan waxes featured in our concentrated balms undergo a very short heating process. Our serums and oils are completely cold processed, and our entire line is crafted using manual equipment and utensils, mostly made of stainless steel and glass.
Responsible sourcing
Transparency is at the core of our values. We use organic (when available), natural, naturally derived ingredients, and clinical actives that are beneficial to your skin, your mind, and the planet. We partner with suppliers that share these values.
Many of the cold processed oils we use in our formulas (like cranberry, cherry, pomegranate, tomato, and melon) are upcycled, meaning extracted from seeds or pits left over from the food processing industry, that would otherwise go to waste.
Whenever possible, we source our ingredients and materials locally to support regional economies and minimize our carbon footprint.
We value this planet and all its inhabitants. Serving the Earth means that we are constantly looking for ways to support long-term sustainability, and want it to make it easy for you to do the same.
Miron glass
We house all White Turtle Beauty creations in recyclable Miron glass bottles and jars.
This stunning, deep-violet bio-photonic glass blocks the complete spectrum of visible light - except from violet, ultraviolet, and infrared-, protecting our formulas for longer periods of time. By shielding plant-based materials from light exposure, your products retain their potency and have a longer shelf life.
Our Deluxe minis come in recyclable amber glass containers.
We invite you to find creative ways to reuse your beautiful Miron glass bottles and jars: serum bottles can be further used as flower vases or holders for diffuser sticks, while balm jars can be the new home for exquisite tea blends and spices, your daily supplements, or even jewelry.
Packaging materials
Sustainable packaging is among our top priorities as we feel this is an area where we can make a meaningful, positive contribution.
Our shipping materials, including tissue paper, product, and Kraft boxes, are fully recyclable. We seal our mailer boxes with paper stickers and labels rather than using plastic tape.
Our Deluxe minis, brushes, and Cryotherapy wand sets come in beautiful environmentally friendly canva bags that you can keep for easier storage, offer as a gift, or reuse as travel pouches.
