Cacay Nut oil: A Natural Skin Regenerating Ingredient
Let’s talk about the vitamin-rich oil your skin will fall in love with: Cacay Oil.
Cacay or Kahai oil is extracted from the seeds of the Cacay tree, botanically called Caryodendron Orinocense. Trees grown naturally in Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Colombia. Cacay saplings provide shade for other plants, and is one of the trees that can be planted to reforest grassland areas.
This light weight, easily absorbed oil has been used for centuries by indigenous communities in the Amazon rainforest for its incredible healing and rejuvenating properties, and ability to soothe scars and stretch marks.
High Antioxidant Content
One of the key benefits of Cacay nut oil is its ability to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin. With a high concentration of vitamins A, E, and F, this oil helps to maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier, preventing dryness and leaving your skin feeling soft and supple. The antioxidants in Cacay nut oil also help to protect the skin from environmental damage and reduce the signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.
One of The Best Natural Sources of Vitamin A
Cacay oil has 1% or higher concentration of natural vitamin A – also known as tretinoin or all-trans retinoic acid. With almost 3 times more vitamin A concentration that Rosehip Oil, it is no wonder why it has been traditionally used to promote healthy skin regeneration without the side effects of synthetic retinoids.
Rich in linoleic fatty acid
In addition to its moisturizing properties, Cacay nut oil is also known for its ability to improve skin tone and texture. It contains up to 70% linoleic acid (omega 6) a fatty acid that is critical for skin health as it helps maintain the skin barrier leading to firmer, more radiant skin.
Cacay nut oil is suitable for all skin types and can help to balance and revive your complexion.
